A new Grimmer is born

Big news in the Grimlock front! Aaron and Tina would like to announce the birth of baby girl Amber Rose Steinhardt, born 1:29pm on the 18th of November 2007. The Steinhardt family is happy and doing well.

Deviate is really reborn!
November 2007
The last gig at Deviate Reborn was great! There was a great response from a good crowd and the sound, lights and organisation et all was extremely efficient. Grimlock thanks Brett & Chris from FS Productions and a grimmer old friend Dean.
Also our hellos to the other bands that played on the night and to Decrepit Sun, who unfortunately could not make it due to a car accident.

Saturday 10 Nov - Deviate Reborn:
Grimlock + Violent Reign + Masters of the Flying Guillotine
Decrepit Sun had to back out of the DV8 gig due to a car crash... ouch! They've been replaced by Violent Reign. Show kicks off at 11:00pm upstairs at DV8 - 12 McKillop Street in Melbourne.

Saturday 17th November - Werribee Hotel
A mixed bag of bands at the Werribee hotel - corner of Watton and Station Streets in Werribee. Easy to get to, just a short stagger from Werribee Station. It will be a mixed bag of bands - metal, punk, and stoner rock all in one night. Could be interesting....

Saturday 21 July at Barbukka
The grimmers have been writing, writing, writing! It seems like very soon there will be some new studio material but this won't be confirmed until a later date (stay tuned!).
Nevertheless, after deciding to be away from the spotlight for a while, they are getting itchy fingers about being on stage again, so on the 21st of July they'll be hitting Barbukka.
After this show the band will continue polishing new songs and hope to jump into the studio soon. There is a big number of new songs, and some of these will be played at the next gig. So come down to Barbukka and get some new Grimlock material fresh out of the oven!

The guys have been rehearsing hard for the last few weeks and ther is a lot of new material in the loop. There might be some surprises at this gig including songs that have never been performed live before. So get your arse to Dream and enjoy the show!

So... it's 2007
January - February 2007
A new year has started. The boys are fully refreshed after a well (long) deserved break and are ready to get back in action. Lots has happened in Grimlockland during this time though. There has been a bit of writing, a bit of writing and oh yeah, a bit of writing. This year the band has lots of plans and the possible release of new material.
A big thanks to our good band friends Craba, Brett, Crazy Dave and everyone who supported us in the last year.
Get ready people, Grimlock is coming back with a vengeance and full batteries!

This is the last gig of the year. We have 3 other bands to join us to celebrate the culmination of "two double O six".
The band members are very satisfied with the outcomes of 2006 and looking forward to an exciting 2007 the Grimlock family wishes you a great end of year celebration.

New gig coming up!

After a quiet break the guys are back in action. See Grimlock live at the Hifi Bar on Friday 9th of June. Line-up includes Monoliyth, Dark Earth, Anarazel and Befallen. With a line-up like this you get a bit of every flavour of metal. The night promises to be a great one with good music and a great venue. We are expecting YOU there! |

Upcoming gig
Grimlock will be hitting The Arthouse in Melbourne on the 6th of April. This is a very interesting venue that develops a great ambience and sound. We're expecting YOU to be there.
Other bands include Synthetic Breed, The Galantry and Belakor.

New album - XVI
March 2006
You heard right. XVI is here just out of the oven. The album, a compilation of 12 powerful tracks, was produced by Ren Parisi and Adam Spicer at Melbourne Records. To get a quick peek of some of the tracks check out the releases section.
The guys are planning a XVI CD Launch gig. Once venues and dates are confirmed all you need to know wil be posted on this page. Now, get your copy and start banging that head!

Sad News

On Monday 6th February 2006 our good friend Jeff Rule passed away. Grimlock is mourning this tragic loss and send their sympathy to Jeff's family, friends and supporters. We will always remember you, good friend. RIP. |
